2019 CTSBB/VMCC Investigator Workshop

The Center for Transscale Structural Biology and Biophysics (CTSBB) and the Visible Molecular Cell Consortium (VMCC) are in the planning phase for a large Center Proposal, and we need your input! Please attend the Investigator Workshop on January 18th, 2019 — on the theme of bridging between two different and complementary aspects of cellular structure across scales of space or time and across disciplines. Students and postdoctoral fellows are invited to present posters on their latest work, and investigators will participate in break-out discussions on various topics that may form the basis of the proposal. This includes (but is not limited to) bridging between computational and experimental biology of cellular components, bridging across spatial or temporal scales of structural cellular systems, and the integration of bioinformatics, proteomic or metabolomics data with structural biological data. We look forward to a creative and productive exchange of ideas, and your participation in this planning / networking session!

Breakout Sessions

1. Extending structural biology to the mesoscale

2. Emergent dynamic properties of biological systems

3. Transscale considerations in the development of novel therapeutics

4. Big data for the transscale revolution

5. Other suggestions can be provided upon registration
